We are based in Kent - the garden of England The apiaries are mostly centred around Cranbrook and Hawkhurst but are also as widely spaced as Aylesford (north of Maidstone), Hever, Bodiam, Boughtonmonchelsea , Sandhurst, Egerton, Dymchurch, Sevenoaks, a chalk pit in Greenhythe, Isle of Grain, Hunton, Groombridge, West Farley and Matfield. We also keep bees in the ruins of an old monastery at Cossington where evidence of beekeeping by the monks is clearly visable in the 'bee boles' which still exist in the walls. Usually the apiaries are situated in orchards or market gardens but some are in back gardens and one is in the middle of 100 acre wood! |
